Laser sensor measures pinpoint dimensions accurately and a smart camera does dimensional measurement and pattern matching. Both lasers and camera are combined in the TSJ-05 unit.

TSJ05 has three measurement channnels;No.1 and 2 are for laser sensors and No.3 is for the smart camera. For measurement timing(=trigger), use the rotary encoder or trigger switch on the motor drive unit feeding the terminal strip between the press and winder. A laser beam locus of terminal forms a curve on TFT 5.6" screen clearly (see the above photo). You can switch to the camera image by one touch. The measurement cycle time is max. 1500 spm. Both sensors and camera have resolution of 1μm. The repeatability accuracy is normally 10μm at high speed dynamics.

■Laser sensor ACL08
Model ACL08 features high speed response, high precision in measurement. It is also designed to be highly resistant to oil mist and free from the focus point limitation of cameras. Wave form: 655nm, Beam parallelism<±0.6°, Distance between emitter and receiver is max. 100mm. Output signal: DC-5.0V, linearity is ±0.5% FS. Operating temperature is 10℃ to 40℃, ambient temperature is -15℃ to 50℃, humidity 30% to 80%RH. Vibration withstands: 40Hz with amplitude of 1.5mm p-p for X-Y-Z directions. Shock is 500m/S2(50G). Protection level is IP65.

Laser measurement draws the internal shape of female by sampling the beam volume at receiver when terminal crosses the beam curtain between laser emitter and laser receiver at very high speed. By setting measurement windows, it measures the gap, dimensions, spring size, etc. Or, by setting windows at critical points, it can detect deteriorated shapes by pattern matching technology.
