The CFM-MX series compact and low cost crimp force monitors are adaptable to most crimping presses and automatic wire processing machines. The piezo force sensor signal is analyzed by 300-sensotr readings per crimp at 256 gain levels. The automatic trigger needs no rotary encoder, proximity switches and press fire pulses etc. Many outputs: machine stop, defects sorting, short wire cutting during teach-in are available.

Crimp force monitor can detect the crimp defects. For example, Stands CUT, LOW & HIGH Insulation, Strands OUT & pressed, aside or top, Wrong height set, BAD machine condition, and BAD applicator condition.

【How does detect crimp errors?】
It learns what the normal crimping forces look like based on several teach-in samples. This becomes the standard to which all the other crimps will be compared.
If peak and area of a curve should be out of set tolerance, it is judged as a defective one. Force curve difference is monitored for faint errors, too. Following is the image of tools on curve analysis.

Crimp force monitor for manual presses. This is very accurate to detect almost crimp errors by detecting even very fine force change at crimping with piezo type strain gauges PSS series (ring type piezo force sensors are optionally available, too).

Smart parameters allow operators to learn all handling and operations in one hour. It can be called as a true user-friendly unit in the world.

Two crimps are required for making the standard in teaching. After that, it changes to control mode automatially and detects the error crimp.
As soon as the error happens, machine stop signal is output.
When error happens, push this to reset alarm mode. All other operations are done by touching TFT screen.

AP1 on PC will monitor force curves and chart graphs precisely and review past data easily.

The network allows up to 32 sets of crimp force monitor for monitoring production and quality with PC.

By linking BBMX with production database, bar code reader readouts circuit number and operator tag before crimp heights measurement and pull force measurement. Then crimp force monitor is allowed to start the teach-in.
